Terms of use
Last updated 2 October 2026
LeilPay is not yet open to the public. This document is a draft that is being reviewed before launch and may change.
These terms set out what LeilPay does for you, what you agree to when you use it, and what happens if something goes wrong. The most important points: LeilPay is not a bank, you see the full price before every payment, and most payments can’t be reversed once sent.
1. About these terms
These terms are the agreement between you and Life Evergreen UK Limited (“LeilPay”, “we”, “us”) for using the LeilPay app and leilpay.com. By creating an account, you accept them. Please read them, along with our privacy policy, which explains how we use your information.
Some services are provided by our partners, who may ask you to accept their own terms as well — for example, when you verify your identity or open dollar, euro or pound account details. If they do, we’ll show them to you first.
2. What LeilPay is — and isn't
LeilPay lets you hold dollars, euros and stablecoins, add and send money in local currency, convert between currencies, and buy airtime, data, bill payments and gift cards.
LeilPay is not a bank. Your money is held and moved by licensed payment partners, not by us. Balances in LeilPay are not bank deposits, and are not covered by a deposit protection scheme such as the UK Financial Services Compensation Scheme or the US FDIC. Stablecoins are digital tokens issued by private companies; they are not legal tender.
Which features you can use depends on the country you live in and on verifying your identity.
3. Your account
- You must be 18 or over and open the account for yourself, not for anyone else or for a business.
- Give us accurate information and keep it up to date. You may have only one account.
- Keep your password, app passcode and phone secure, and don’t share them. Anyone with them can move your money.
- If you think someone else has used your account, or your phone is lost or stolen, email support@leilpay.com straight away. Change your password as soon as you can.
4. Verifying who you are
The law requires us and our partners to know who our customers are. Before you can add or send money, you must verify your identity with an ID document and a selfie. We or our partners may ask for more information later, for example about where your money comes from. If you don’t provide it, we may have to limit or close your account. Verification can be refused, and we can’t always say why.
5. Fees, rates and limits
- The price comes first. Before you confirm any payment, LeilPay shows the amount, the exchange rate, any fee, and what will arrive. You pay what you confirmed — nothing is added afterwards.
- Exchange rates move all the time. The rate that applies is the one on the confirmation screen when you confirm.
- Some services have minimum and maximum amounts, and daily or monthly limits. They’re shown in the app and can change, for example after you verify your identity, or to meet our partners’ or legal requirements.
- Your mobile network or bank may charge you for data or for their own services. Those charges aren’t ours.
6. Sending money and paying
- Check the details. You are responsible for the account number, phone number, meter number or crypto address you enter. Where a bank lets us, we show the account holder’s name before you send, so you can stop if it’s wrong.
- Most payments can’t be reversed. Once a payout reaches a bank or mobile money account, we can only ask the recipient’s bank to return it, and can’t promise it will. A crypto transfer can never be reversed. Sending crypto to the wrong address or the wrong network may lose it permanently.
- Timing. Most payments complete within minutes, but some take longer — for example when a bank, network or blockchain is slow, or when a payment is checked for fraud. The app shows each payment’s status.
- Airtime, data, bills and gift cards are delivered by the network, biller or card brand. If a purchase fails, the money is returned to your balance. Treat a gift card code or a meter token like cash: once shown to you, we can’t replace it if someone else uses it.
- We may refuse or delay a payment if we or our partners reasonably suspect fraud, a breach of these terms, or that it would break the law. Where the law allows, we’ll tell you why.
7. Stablecoins and crypto
- Stablecoins aim to keep a steady value against a currency such as the US dollar, but that isn’t guaranteed. Their value can fall, and the company that issues them can fail.
- Blockchain networks can be slow, expensive or stop working, outside our control. Network fees may apply.
- Crypto rules differ by country and change often. Some crypto features may not be available where you live.
- Nothing in LeilPay is investment, tax or legal advice.
8. If something goes wrong
- A payment you didn’t make. Tell us as soon as you notice, and within 13 months at the latest. We’ll investigate with our partners and put things right if you weren’t at fault. You may be responsible for losses if you acted fraudulently, or shared your passcode or password, or didn’t keep them safe through gross negligence.
- A mistake we made. If a payment goes wrong because of our error, we’ll correct it and refund any fee you paid for it.
- Money received by mistake. If money arrives in your account that isn’t yours, we may take it back, and you must not spend it.
9. Things you must not do
- use LeilPay for anything illegal, including fraud, money laundering, terrorist financing or getting round sanctions;
- use someone else’s account or identity, or let someone else use yours;
- receive or send money for other people as a business, or use LeilPay for gambling;
- copy, take apart, or interfere with the app, the website or our systems, or try to get into them without permission.
10. Closing or suspending an account
You can close your account at any time — in the app under Account → Close my account, or on the website. We’ll contact you to help you take out any money first. Your money is never kept.
We may suspend or close your account, or a feature, if the law or a partner requires it, if we reasonably suspect fraud or a serious breach of these terms, or if we stop providing LeilPay. Unless the law prevents it, we’ll give you at least two months’ notice, or tell you straight away if we must act sooner, and help you take out your money.
11. Our responsibility to you
We’re responsible for losses you suffer because we broke these terms or didn’t act with reasonable care, if those losses were foreseeable. We’re not responsible for:
- losses caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as a partner, bank, network or blockchain failing;
- business losses, or loss of profit or opportunity;
- losses from payment details you entered incorrectly, or from crypto sent to a wrong address or network.
Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or anything else the law doesn’t let us limit, and nothing affects your legal rights as a consumer.
12. Complaints
If you’re unhappy, email support@leilpay.com with “Complaint” in the subject line, your account email, and the payment reference if there is one (shown on each transaction in the app). We will:
- confirm we’ve received it within 3 business days;
- send a full answer within 15 business days — or, if it’s complex, explain why it’s taking longer and answer within 35 business days.
If a complaint is about a service a partner provided, we’ll take it up with them for you. If you’re still unhappy, we’ll tell you about any independent complaints scheme or regulator you can take it to.
13. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms, for example when the law, our partners or our services change. We’ll tell you by email or in the app at least two months before a change that affects you takes effect. If you don’t agree, you can close your account free of charge before then.
14. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes can be brought in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in another country, you also keep any protection that country’s consumer law gives you, and can bring a claim in your local courts.
